His lips fall into a pout and he wipes away the onset of tears. “Oh love, what is it?” Draco asks, opening his arms for his son to crawl forward for a hug.“It's nothing.” Scorpius mutters into his chest. He sniffles sadly.“It’s obviously something.” Draco prods gently. “Why are you upset?”“I didn’t want you to know…” Scorpius blubbers. He wipes his nose and smears his hand on Draco’s chest, who winces but hugs his son dutifully. “He was trying to sneak out the window because…because Harry doesn’t want to stay with us. He doesn’t want us to adopt him.” Scorpius bursts into tears and shoves his face into Draco’s robes, wailing wretchedly.Scorpius hadn’t brought up adopting Harry in ages. He thought his son had gotten over it, but apparently not.
