Summary
Tim had always thought that it was for the drama of it all, the way movies showed time moving slowly when a car gets hit.
Artistic licence and all that.
He’d made a powerpoint for school once, pointing out that the cool factor made it worth the exaggerated scenes, with all the camerawork making the tension higher. It was especially true in action movies where you knew the protagonist would stumble out of the car and still save the day. Tim had always liked hero protagonists who could put aside their own pain to protect others.
The other students hadn’t seemed to really care about his presentation, but at least his Mother had been glad to see his high grade.
Well, the dramatic effect didn’t seem very cool anymore, not as the world spun around him slowly in a mess of glass and metal. Every roll made Tim’s body jolt and soon enough he’d lost count of each blow he got. An arm, hitting the window, his head slamming against the wheel making his vision explode into thousands of little stars.
