Summary
Between the four of them, only Daya was enthusiastic about alcohol. She chugged beer after beer and never seemed to get drunk. It was always impressive to watch. Whenever Kabru's group went drinking, Daya would seem sober throughout, and fall asleep the instant it was over. Holm couldn't drink alcohol. He settled for a glass of juice. Rin and Kabru could drink but, each for their own reasons, they both preferred not to drink heavily. Rin's drink was watered down so much that Kabru wasn't sure if there was any detectable trace of alcohol left in it, and yet there was still a decent chance that she was going to get drunk off it. Kabru wasn't a lightweight, especially not with a proper meal in his stomach for once, but he was careful not to drink too much anyway. Having one's senses dulled was a dangerous thing, even amongst friends. Mickbell didn't need any alcohol to be the rowdiest one of them all, but he would probably still demand a round regardless. But Mickbell wasn't there yet, and none of them knew if and when he was going to show up. Kabru realised, in that instant, that he was probably better off explaining himself before Mickbell could make it.
