For Cody, fear and Obi-Wan Kenobi went hand-in-hand far too often, for all that he’d never been afraid of his General.

Not until now, anyway.

Objectively, the Force was still terrifying, but the gentleness of all of the Jedi, and Cody’s Jedi in particular, had dulled that fear so quickly—it had made them seem so… normal. Yet every once in a while, something happened to remind them all that they really and truly weren’t. They were… something Other, kept in check only by their own morality and willpower—and no sentient had infinite reserves of the latter.

When Cody is injured, a discovery is made—one that rattles their Jedi badly enough to remind them just how terrifying Force-sensitives, even Jedi, can actually be. But that's alright—they'll work through it all together.
