Summary
It’s a measure of how tired he is that Feng Xin only manages a couple of vague curses as he stumbles through the door of their apartment. “Fucking econ” and something about exams being the spawn of demons is about all Mu Qing makes out before Feng Xin takes half a dozen steps and collapses on the couch.Mu Qing lifts his Ancient History textbook just in time for Feng Xin’s head to replace it on his lap, thinking it would serve him right if he’d been just a few seconds too slow. “I did tell you to sleep last night,” he reminds Feng Xin pointedly. “And the night before. You’re the one who chose not to listen.” He lowers his textbook to rest on Feng Xin’s head rather than holding it awkwardly in mid air. If Feng Xin happens to sigh happily at the feel of the cool, glossy cover against his forehead, well, that’s entirely incidental.
