Grett x Riya Mermaid AU /Riya has lived an alright life. She was a famous actress, known in Hollywood for her 'villain' role on the TV. Sure, her only friend was Connor, her ex-boyfriend who was still putting up with her, but that was all she needed. She wasn't a people person.But when her agent, Kristal, makes her take up sailing as a way to increase her likability in the public, Riya's life is changed when after falling into the ocean (for the second time) she meets a very strange creature- a mermaid named Grett.Grett, however, is astonishingly normal, and also quite beautiful. And she seems just as enchanted by Riya as Riya is by her. There are problems, of course: Grett has a boyfriend, she's in a pack with a sadistic little mermaid and a rather standoffish merman, and of course she isn't a human like Riya. But as they grow closer, Riya and Grett both must ask themselves if there is that much difference between life on land and life in the sea.
