Every Rose Has It Thorns

Leona Cousland was not only the apple of her father's eye but also known for her prowess in battle accompanied by her father and brother. There had been so many battles against those who would gladly see the downfall of her family in order to take over Highever. While she was known to be fierce she was also quite a beauty but most knew that she was like a rose and had plenty of thorns. The only person who was always in her company was a knight that her father had taken in as a refugee from a kingdom across the sea. Blazen has the eyes of someone who has seen quite a bit despite not being much older then herself. Then again if Blazen was to be believed elves like them aged much differently then herself. Still Blazen becomes her most trusted friend and the only one she can confide in when it comes to just about everything. So it seems fitting that after Howe's attack Blazen is the reason she isn't killed. While they are making their escape they run into Duncan and accept his offer since they both know Howe will come after them soon enough and joining the wardens offered a small level of protection. Little did they know Howe was the least of their problems.
