One Here And One Gone

"'Love is a mysterious thing, isn’t it?' The Duke asks her as he hands her back the statue of her late Lady. Milena is wordless at that. In response to what she trades away - gold from the locked coffers - he clicks his tongue and spares her a smile. 'Remember, Milena: nothing loved is ever truly gone.'"After the events of the game, the Village is destroyed. Only one person is left alive: Milena Hofer, the Lady Dimitrescu's favourite maid and lover. But amongst the mournful silence, something from deep in the caves starts calling to her. By day, she labours for Mother Miranda, bitterly plotting revenge on the prophet who left her Mistress to die. By night, underground, she is visited by a vision of her Mistress who seems to be reliving her old memories.
