Summary
The frustrating part about it is that he almost makes it to the end. They’re inside of the two minute warning, and the remaining time is a formality at this point. Utah has no hope of closing a fifteen point deficit, and Jean is actually shocked that he hasn’t been pulled yet to give the sophomores some more experience on the court. All Jean knows is that one second he is passing the ball halfway across the court to Min, and the next he is staring at the bright lights of the Sunshine Court, and the blurry orbs dance slowly in front of his eyes, shining so brightly that it burns. Jean thinks he knows what this is already, and he rolls over onto his knees to lessen the brightness, and when he feels nausea roll in his stomach and a firework of pain explode in his forehead, it’s confirmed. He has hit his head, and there is no way that he isn’t concussed.
(alternatively titled: jean tries to hide a concussion and it definitely goes well)
