Its Lucy Knight's first year working in a remote clinic in Alaska, she has to navigate her journey of becoming a doctor while discovering her sexuality and managing working in a small town. Lucy, along with her mentor John Carter, who is infatuated by Abby Lockhart, a smart and determined young nurse, must work together to care for their neighbours, family, and friends. This story follows the romance (lots of angst) between many characters who are in the shows ER and Northern Exposure.I know its likely nobody will read this, but I truly enjoyed writing the first few chapters and I am going to continue just for fun :). This story is for the people who love hurt/comfort especially in a medical setting, especially between friends and partners who may have had bad experiences with medical proceedures.TW: this fic contains depictions of self harm, abuse, and medical trauma.
