Mizuki had said it off-hand but the incredulous look Ena was giving her had her wondering if she had said something weird. The two of them were perched side-by-side on some steps, overlooking Tokyo bay at Ena's request. They were the only ones there, not even the birds made a peep. Their only companions were the sound of gentle wind and the smell of salt—and the sunset was beautiful, almost too beautiful. It felt like they were the only two people in the world.

“Are you being serious right now?” Ena asked, after a beat.

“Yes?” Mizuki replied, more hesitant now.

“That's… not the sun,” Ena said, "It's the asteroid that's about to hit earth and kill us all in, like, an hour.”
