A Light Meant for No One

After the Blighted dragon retreats, Ashur returns to the safehouse to find it ransacked and the corruption already singing in his blood. Tarquin finds him in the wreckage, refusing to leave even as Ashur begins to unravel. Between the smell of ash and the weight of old warnings, they hold fast to each other in the dark and try, for one night, not to let go.
