Dawn of the Slayer

Two months after she was brought back from the dead, Buffy Summers is still struggling. She decides the best thing for her is to leave Sunnydale for a while, clear her head. All she could think about was how happy she was in - wherever she was after she sacrificed herself for Dawn all of those months before to stop Glory, and then the dread that crept in when she woke up in her casket and had to claw her way out through wood and dirt. Buffy loved her friends dearly, but every time she looked at Willow or Xander or Giles all she could feel was the earth under her nails and filling her mouth. She needed out for a bit.

After a heated, lengthy, and somewhat teary discussion, it was decided they would bring in Faith Lehane, the second Slayer, to cover Buffy in Sunnydale while she went on her little adventure to go find herself again. She makes her way up the coast until she finds herself in a little dreary town in Washington called Forks.
