Under Pressure, We're Breaking

Will Byers is going crazy over Mike's mixed signals, but he's learnt to deal with the fact that Michael is the one and only who can play with his feelings like that. After risking their friendship in an attempt to tell Mike how he feels and failing miserably, Will decided it was time to forget all of that because he'd led himself into foolish thinking his love would be reciprocated, and that almost destroyed him. It was time to get over it, move on and never think about that again. He'd try to be normal; he would stop being the freak he knew he was; he'd stop all this bullshit. But when a crawl goes wrong and leaves both of them extremely endangered, everything turns upside down, and Will might find it impossible not to fall in love even more with the boy he'd promised himself to forget.

Or: a crawl goes wrong, and now Will can start to question everything he believed to know about Mike's non-reciprocated feelings.
