Summary
Blood for the Sun
Memphis, Egypt — 1279 BCE
They called her the Eye of Ra.They never asked what it cost.
When bloodless bodies begin to surface along the Nile, young Slayer Anippe expects a monster she can kill. Instead, she uncovers Sekhmet—the lion-headed goddess of war—walking among mortals as something far worse: a vampire goddess, feeding beneath the sun she once ruled.
Untouchable, ancient, and drawn to the Slayer’s blood, Sekhmet forces Anippe into a battle no Slayer was meant to fight—where strength is useless, faith is fragile, and survival may depend on daring to defy a god.
An ancient Tales of the Slayer story about divine hunger, corrupted worship, and the terrible cost of standing in the sun’s gaze.
