Summary
She had not anticipated the pain that came with her transformation.
The last time she had quickly fallen into unconsciousness, the souls of the damned howling too loudly in her ears as the life within her oozed out onto the baking sheet, mixing with corpses of the freshly-born and long-dead, the heat of the oven so high that she barely registered a melted gummy-like substance leaking from her ears.
This time there were no fellow victims, only her thoughts kept her company.
