Yuhua found herself watching Qiao Yu more and more—and while the situation called for attentiveness and a keen eye, Yuhua knew she wasn’t watching Qiao Yu because of the ongoing demon hunt, or because she planned on taking out the strongest demon first. No. Yuhua was watching Qiao Yu as her heart fluttered, as her mind ran laps, when her hands shook—she was suddenly very aware of what this feeling was. Her face was so warm, and even if the clamor in her head was muffled due to wearing Kaikai’s face—even halfway, like this—she knew her appreciation and blooming friendship with Qiao Yu wasn’t because of a demonic influence. Oh, no. And she knew that her heart wasn’t fluttering because of a friendly feeling, either, which was—incorrigible. Absolutely incorrigible, and yet—she couldn’t stop herself.
