Summary
Mrs. Hudson had been having quite a nice, peaceful morning. She’d woken up to cheery sunlight, then started her day by watering the houseplants and preparing some cut flowers. After breakfast for both herself and her tenants, she’d shown up a client to Mr. Holmes, and then planned to do some work in the kitchen.
But just after she checked the amount of ice in the refrigerator, making a note of how much she must ask for at tomorrow’s delivery, shouting echoed through the house.
