Summary
It’s a void of nothingness in space; that’s what it looks like to the eye. George gets tired of the view; he wishes to see how the sunsets on Earth; or how it rises. He needs something more, something that doesn’t look the same every day. In space, it’s just darkness with some spots of light littered every once in a while. It bores him.
