There was always a certain shift that happened in Batman whenever he talked to kids that were hurt or scared.He would speak more softly, maybe even kneel down in front of them to personally assure them that they were safe now. It made sense, Tim thought, to not want to intimidate those that he was supposed to be protecting.And, it made sense on a deeper level too because Batman wasn’t just Batman, he was Bruce Wayne, and had only been a kid himself when he watched his parents die. He knew what it was like to be scared, to be upset, to be hurting.But Tim Drake is not a child, he never has been.
