Summary
In one moment, Thorin is enjoying a feast in Mahal’s Halls with his forefathers, and in the next, he is watching his own funeral in the catacombs of Erebor. Fíli, the newly-crowned King Under the Mountain, has summoned him but, not knowing how to properly use his powers, eventually sends Thorin back to Mahal. After his initial shock, Thorin sees it as an opportunity—a chance to right his wrongs and relieve his guilt.
